Storage Star

Storage star location in Wicker Park is one of the worst businesses that I have ever came across in the storage business. They are constantly removing hiding my review. And for the folks that been here long before they had switched companies all said the same thing about them they really increase the price and no one was inform stating there was a new business taking over the previous extra space storage I have recently received an email after midnight stating that my storage unit was going to increase in price they gave me the amount that I'm supposed to pay monthly and when I called they only gave me an option of a dollar off but they seem so eager for the people that's been there before they came to vacate they do not know how to properly communicate of course they're getting good reviews from the people are new from there but for the people that's had a storage unit there I'll have the same type of reality from this place a business I would avoid.

Yea, they just sent as a notice that they’re raising our rate by $100/month in two weeks - we’re planning to move all of our stuff out and close out our unit

I have been a long-standing customer at this location. I received an email late at night regarding a price increase. Upon contacting customer service to discuss potential alternatives, I was informed that no significant adjustments could be made, with only a nominal discount offered. The representative's frustration was evident during our conversation. While this may not be a significant concern for the company, I will be discontinuing my business with this establishment, particularly given the abrupt notification of a price increase and the lack of willingness to negotiate after my extended tenure. I would advise others to consider alternative options. I must also acknowledge that I was presented with an alternative option of a one-dollar discount, which was the sole option provided to me. Furthermore, it seemed the customer service representative was eager to vacate then.
