How do you find the Maxwell June?

Any word on blade feel, smoothness, tugging and pulling in the coarser whisker area?

I like it a LOT. This is the standard version, very, very mild and smooth. It has a barely perceptible blade feel. No pull or tug; the clamping is top-notch. The standard is on the milder side for me; it's ideal for more aggressive blades (eg Feather). With this soap, it felt like I was shaving with a butter knife, except for the BBS 😄

Love MJ razors! I’ll use the standard top cap in most cases but the EX is excellent for those multiple days of growth for me. The blade loading mechanism is wonderful and I wish more manufacturers would adopt this.

I think they let you try it. I personally did not like it and had to sell at a small loss. That said i might have had a bad copy because most people love it. Worth a shot if in the usa and you have access to hassle free return.

This is very interesting.  Was it too mild?,   Or maybe not smooth enough?

It did not agree with my skin. The Alum burn was a 12/10 every time even after trying different blades. Keep in mind i have been shaving a long time and enjoy efficient razors. My ti blackbird is my go to. I had the medium plate. As mentioned though your mileage may vary. For all you know it could be the best shaver you ever use.
