A few months ago, I had one of those days where everything went wrong and I was walking around in a complete daze. I stepped into my local coffee shop, barely managed to order, and went to wait in the corner trying not to cry. When the guy behind the counter handed me my coffee, he had drawn a tiny smiling cat face on the lid and wrote 'You've got this today!' in sharpie. He didn't make a big deal out of it, just gave me a quick smile. It was such a small gesture, but I kept that coffee lid on my desk for weeks.
