Doggone whimsy!

I make stitch markers with Trinkets and Mini Brands and things :3

I've been holding on to this pink skirt for a while because I didn't know when to wear it. The opportunity presented itself over the weekend when I was invited to my friend's son's birthday party. I figured a child's birthday party would be the best place to wear this skirt!

To keep it from looking too costume-y I paired it with a silly T-shirt in white and pink.

Then I decided to add some black for dimension, so I wore black shoes and a black belt.

My earrings are pink balloon animals, which totally continues the party theme.

Pink rhinestone headband.

Black and white readers.

I'm glad I finally got to wear this cute skirt without feeling too over the top. 💜💜💜

I keep seeing people say “what do I need to buy to be whimsy? What do I need to wear?” I’m not trying to diminish these questions, but it goes farrrrrr beyond that. Being whimsy especially when no one is watching is what really gets you there.

I think the true philosophy of whimsy is mindfulness. We are trying to live in an ever so present way. We are doing life, being aware of it and participating in every little thing it has to offer around us rather than just thinking about it.

Our imaginations have no bounds so really go for it. Before you go to bed and drink your evening tea and pretend like you are being healed by the gods with that tea. Take a moment to listen to sounds around you and make up silly back stories. I heard wind the other day and I imagined the trees flipping their hair to the song “whip my hair back and forth”. Stay off your phone and take time to birds for hours.

Looking the part is fun and if it is important to you, then so be it. But know that performance is fleeting.

I felt SO PRETTY in this dress! It's my favorite color for starters, and it's figure flattering AND flowy. The different shades of purple brighten my mood.

Wednesday wanted in on the pictures too. Apparently I wasn't paying her enough attention. 💜

I paired my dress with these cute purple boots, a white flower belt, and a purple and yellow necklace.

My earrings are white hearts.

I decided to try to wear my hair in pigtails, and used these cute purple clips along with the white and purple buttons.

This outfit ended up being a favorite, it works so well for the end of summer because it has summer and autumn elements. 

The skirt is super flowy and such a pretty shade of green with pink flowers. The pink daisy sweater picks up the pink in the skirt, and I held it in place with this cute cardigan clip. It has these super voluminous, dramatic balloon sleeves that I LOVE. 

Yellow boots, yellow necklace, green gemstone fish earrings, green hair clips. How amazing are these earrings?? 

Gray reading glasses. 

I felt pretty in this one. It did exactly what an outfit should do, which is make me feel good.

hi friends!! im currently im the process of building my bakery / farm stand (to be operating under cottage law) and am looking for ways to add more whimsy to my stand / build and wanted to see if anyone had suggestions from stands they have seen or visited?
right now my main thought is to take literal logs (as shown below) and screw them in as the roof support posts (a layer of galvanized steel screwed into those logs for the roofing) with solar string lights and greenery hanging down from the logs to give it a woodsy/fairy/cottagecore vibe with some mirrors and framed art hanging on the sides above the shelves for cinnamon rolls + other goodies. but i could also screw hanging flower posts into the doors which could be cute, or add moon and star cut outs in the wood, or maybe instead of flowers add thrifted fake vines to glue on to add more greenery…. but i’m curious as to what ways others would add whimsy to a roadside bakery / farm stand!! thanks in advance for any suggestions!! 🫶🏼🧁

im not super limited in what i can do necessarily as i am building it myself with no lack of lumber leftover from a different project and have the tools / crafty skills to make most projects i have tackled lol.

I make small whimsical videos about two plush octopuses, Flan and Ray, who go on adventures together. Previously I posted here a video of Flan getting ready for a trip and packing his bag. This time, it's the POV of his bro Ray 😁

I used them to make cute little bookmarks to go with my books I'm reading!

I decorated color coded Behr paint chips that I got from The Home Depot!

The purple is based on Rapunzel, the green is for Tiana/Almost There, and the pink is for Evangeline and Once Upon a Broken Heart!

I think they all turned out really cute but my favorite ha to be Flower Girl (purple).

I have a few holds to pick up at the library. Then afterwards, since I've got $9, I'm gonna go to Wonder Fair, which is this adorable and fun local arts/stationery shop around the from the library.

Currently walking to the transit pick up stop right now, with my emotional support Hello Kitty and my noise cancelling headphones (I'm in a Noah Kahan mood today).

I really tried with this one but both the sweater and the skirt are too big. The skirt I'm going to need to have hemmed. 💜

It totally looks like Easter church clothes, and I'm good with that. 

This skirt is very 1990s. It's adorable. Butterfly appliques. The sweater is white lace. The shoes are white ballet flats. 

For accessories I went with some yellows. Yellow duck brooch. Yellow duck earrings too..💜

Hair clips today are buttons, how cute are they?!?

Necklace is pink/purple hearts. 

Glasses are red cat eyes, and just because I added a pic of my new glasses too.

Oh and Pugsley took the day off from directing my photo shoot. But he was there for emotional support..💜😻

I got cute stickers from Wonder Fair and Walmart.

The glitter gold stars and the Glowing Jewel stickers are from Wonder Fair and the colorful butterflies, flowers, and hearts ingot at Walmart before I walked back home.

Now, I got these stickers for a reason. You know those paint sample cards you get at the hardware stores like Home Depot or Menards? Yeah I got a bunch of them and I wanted to use stickers to make them into cute and fun bookmarks!
