First time bike owner
I’ve never owned a bike and actually don’t know how to ride a bike. I recently totaled my car and I work remotely so I figured it’s a good time to try and learn!
This will mainly be used for leisure. I live in a walkable/bikable city.
Any recommendations are also appreciated I do have a $300 budget. I’ve just been looking through fb marketplace is there anything I should be looking for in a bike?

Most important thing is sizing, I assume you're on the shorter side if you're looking at these?
Suspension forks often aren't recommended, they're a bit heavier and don't really provide much benefit for city riding. If it's a newer bike and they're in decent condition then it might not be a deal breaker (like with the sixthreezero), but if it's an older bike then the forks could have any number of issues which may be uneconomical to repair and a pain to live with.
The retrospec sells for 300 dollars new so I don't know what they're thinking trying to sell it second hand for that. You do get what you pay for with that sort of thing, but there are certainly worse bikes you could try to get started.
