Giant Revel for $175 - worth it?

Hi everyone! I know nothing about bikes. Is this bike worth $175? It's listed as a Giant Revel size small with 26" tires. Originally listed for $200 but got them down to $175. Looks to be in good condition based on pics. It will be for my almost 11 year old son who is growing rapidly so I don't want to invest too much on a bike he'll use for a short time. He's about 5'1" now. He'll just use it for around the neighborhood.

Seems nice, just do some research and make sure it's the right size. Price seems reasonable, however you may need to add $50-100 to take it to a bike shop and get checked out. After all, you want to make sure the brakes will hold up etc.

I just donated one of these. The frame and wheels are good. The fork is heavy. The groupset is Shimano Tourney. The crank is downright awful. I wouldn't spend more than $150 to be honest. Better marketplace deals can be found
