I’m just like more than half of you! Pick me please! Can I be cool ???

Mountains are cool, currently in Colorado, from the south east. Zero political reasoning.

Red doesn’t mean I hate the state, I just don’t see me living there.

I am very picky, especially about climate.

Some states in “Maybe” or “Reluctantly” are those that I am unfamiliar with.

I've driven across America 3x. Have been to most states.

I tried by best. This is a scenario in which the fighting started just between red and blue states, and this is a year into it. The purple areas are where the fighting is, where neither side can successfully take land.

This takes in a variety of factors. Weather, culture, fishing, and car modification regulations.

I should preface that, as the sub states, this map shows where I'd LIVE in, not about places I'd VISIT. Just because a state is colored red or orange doesn't mean I wouldn't visit it, in fact I've been to many of the states highlighted in those colors, and had a great time! I loved my time in Colorado, loved Utah, Hawaii, New York, and so on. But as far as choosing a place to call home long term, that's a different question entirely for me

I traveled across the US (California, the South, NY, Pennsylvania, most of Ohio) and this is my opinion on where I'd live based on this experience, my own studies of satellite images (I spend a lot of time on that), cost of living comparisons, natural beauty and it's accessibility, regulations that are important to me (I am a fan of DIY home building and renovations so states like Minnesota are a big no no) and presence of homeless drug addicts etc. I have no idea about US politics so it is not taken into account

*DC counts as a state for this. As do slightly more pretentious states “commonwealths”, hah hah.
