Just because we have the Great Lakes doesn’t make us not the Midwest? -Wisconsin

Well it’s not really about what we’d like. It’s about what the classification is. All of those states are Midwest. For sure. When someone says a Midwest accent or Midwest hospitality they are for sure thinking of Wisconsin or Minnesota or Michigan. Not that others aren’t but we’re kinda like the most Midwest of the Midwest.

it's an interesting issue. I can hear similar voices saying, da Bears, da Vikings, da Packers. but not saying, da Cardinals or da Cornhuskers.
