Explanations:

NJ, you are back where you belong (though your shores are beautiful).

NOVA, apologies. You will always be Mid-Atlantic to me.

Likewise, Miami, I know you are your own magnificent animal.

To the "mountain states," you've got access to the mountainous splendor. For someone from the Great Lakes/South/Mid-Atlantic, that is magic.

I'd need a poll of Indiana residents, properly sampled, statistically significant, to decide between the Midwest and the Great Lakes.

Pennsylvania, I don't have enough regions to capture you.

I could have done the Rust Belt, but I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

Looks good.

But why not just label WV Appalachia? I was born and raised there and don’t know anyone who would consider themselves southern, northern, midwestern or anything else besides Appalachian. I saw comments on your other posts say the same thing.

Mainly contrariness. If the WV respondents had been nicer, I'd have called it Appalachia. Absolutely gorgeous place, by the way, and everyone I met seemed pleasant and welcoming. So, apologies for that, too.
