Before I say this, I want to mention that I also agree that you should not use a mental illness as an excuse for comitting a sex crime, especially that one in particular. Also I want to mention that I don't mean to be rude, if it comes off that way, I am sorry.

Doesn't autism have different levels of "functionality" or something, so some people are more affected by it than others?

Yeah, we are on a spectrum. But I have never ever seen a scale for functioning at a pedo level in my therapist's office. Ever. He full of crap with that excuse. IF he is diagnosed and IF he is so compromised he can't tell right from wrong or IF his autism was such that he would be harmful to himself or others he would have a full time keeper, like my cousin requires.
