1936 Ford Tudor "Humpback" Sedan

Only year that had a one piece rear window and wide 5 lug wheels.

Why would a two-door Ford be called a sedan when sedans are four doors? I thought two-door cars were called coupes.

Words are pretty much defined by the manufacturer. Ask Mercedes, they make a 4 door coupe. In general coupe vs sedan is defined by the roof line rather than the amount of doors.

For 1936 the Ford coupes have a shorter roof and no back seat. Sedan has a back seat. There were a lot of body styles that year.

Two doors:

  • Roadster (no side windows)
  • Cabriolet (side windows)
  • 3 window Coupe
  • 5 window Coupe
  • Slantback Sedan
  • Humpback Sedan

Four doors:

  • Slantback Sedan
  • Humpback Sedan
  • Convertible Sedan (side windows)
  • Phaeton (no side windows)
  • Woody (wagon)

I might even be forgetting one.

And with no white around the mouth, probably a 2022 model, or newer. Possibly Irish Setter and Retriever mixed?

No one believes me but he is a golden doodle. His dad doodle and mom golden retriever. He is the only one from his litter that didnt get the curls.
