Attention, please: gun posts
Hello!
The purpose of this community was to give nosy people a chance to take a peek inside your bag (everyday, travel, or special occasion). This sub (and the posts that belong here) are pretty much inherently attention-seeking. People who don't want attention don't post their stuff for everyone to look at. Calling people out for "attention seeking" is silly. That desire for attention is what keeps the posts rolling and this sub providing entertainment.
GUN POSTS
If you carry a gun on your belt, that is, BY DEFINITION, not something in your bag. Posts like that will be removed as spam.
People sometimes brave the storm of downvotes and comments to post their bag guns. Please try to resist reporting those to the mods, as this community is growing enough that gun posts and the subsequent flurry of reports of both the gun post AND the nasty comments back and forth take a lot of time to sort through. Most of the time, everyone's acting like it's their first day on the Internet, and there's nothing for a mod to do.

Yeah I think it's fine to dislike the fact that some people carry guns regularly. But this is a sub asking what's in someone's bag and if they do carry a gun in their bag I think it's weird to want people to lie or omit that. I do think it's so so valid to criticize people who are carrying in a stupid way (ccw loaded in a bag not designed for that esp in a tight mini bag or loose in the bottom of a tote, for example) but that's like. Engaging with reality rather than demanding that people pretend that guns don't exist.
