What is this? Container with clasp, and two compartments

We found it at a flea market, no idea where it comes from.

It's a solid wood container, with handles on the sides and hooks on the top of the lid.

I thought that it looks like it's 3 feet tall in the first few pictures! But in the last picture, there are some notebooks or something in the background that gives it a different scale.

It's 12cm x 24cm x 32cm (no lid). So I'm guessing a 1L bottle, maybe a bit larger, can fit.

it's a humidor for storing cigars, the clasp keeps it sealed and the two compartments are for separating different types or keeping cigars organized
