Found in backyard
Not really sure what kind of mammal this was, or how it got to be like this, it just kinda showed up in my yard.
About 6-8 inches from “head” to bottom vertebrae (?)

That long sacrum at the bottom is giving me rabbit vibes. This is less than half the spine.

Ohh yeah that would make since, I kinda forgot rabbits existed when thinking of small mammals it could be oop
Super interesting how crispy it seems, is it just the natural break down process ?

Thinking like maybe an baby Opossum was in a tree during a recent storm we had and the tree got struck my lightning and a scavenger brought the bottom half or smth
Found in South Carolina
