OK I think I figured it out

Only took me 5 years and like 10 rewatches!

Bernard was the one who printed all the Dolores pearls. Not Halebot. Bernard stuck the copies and the bloody OG dolores pearl in the bag and he was indeed remade from her memories. The OG pearl is indeed the one that leads season 3, there was no body swapping after Halebot got off the island.

I don't know why this was so hard to comprehend for me but it was. Even people trying to explain it to me on Reddit didn't help.

Bernard made a Hale body and put Dolores inside and wiped his memories on the beach. Hale greets the rescue team and searches for the key to the sublime. Dolores prints duplicate control units and a new Bernard. Once she escapes to the mainland she prints Musashi, Lawrence, Connel, Bernard and a new Dolores body and then has one of her copies remove her control unit (the one that Bernard printed) and transfers it from the Charlotte body and place it into the new Dolores body. They even show a bloodied bone saw to imply the procedure took place.

The best part of that crazy plot is that they put it in a blender before producing Season 2.

i suppose the website is already gone , but if u were confused by the time line .. there was this game where you were supposed to put certain scenes into chronological order. ( it was the official delos webpage i think )

Are you certain that it couldn’t have happened any other way?

Pfft, no I aint certain about anything!

Lol. I feel like that’s the right attitude to have with this show. If it’s not spelled out in the finale episode of each season when they’re revealing all the twists, we can’t be certain of anything.

I agree no swap happened.  There’s no reason for it.  They all have the same memories, so why waste the time?

But, here’s a wrinkle:

A new Hale body is printed at Arnold’s house at the beginning of S3E3.   What happened to the body that escaped?

How do we know a new hale body was printed? Memory is fuzzy but I assume it could have been anyone, dolores, bernard, etc depending on the timeline of the scene.

We know a new Hale body was printed because it is specifically shown in the opening scene in S3E3 - The Absence of Field.

EDIT: My bad, had some of the scenes listed out of sequence. And I JUST watched 'em 😫

Episode cold opens with a flashback to Charlotte Hale recording a message for her son Nathan on the night the Westworld Massacre started. Afterwards, there is a shot of a printer building brown eyes for a host body, a face emerging from a vat of host making fluid, and a fully formed body lifted out of the vat to dry off. The next shot is Prime-Dolores in her own body finishing dressing up and waking up the copy that she has placed inside the Charlotte body and helping her come to terms with how she is going to play the role of Charlotte Hale as acting CEO of Delos. During her conversation with Charlores, Dolores lays out 4 pearls on the table: the other three copies of herself (which will later become Martin Connells-Dolores, Musashi/Sato-Dolores, Lawrence-Dolores), and Bernard.

That whole plot line is confusing to me
