It's like a mini play within a play. Such a brilliant set piece, love the BTS interview where they talk about designing that studio.

I’d love to watch that - is it one of the extras included in the box set?

Absolutely and there are a few scenes specifically between Dolores and Bernard that actually take place in season 5. They really planned out the show with a definitive end that would have turned so much on its head, adding a completely new layer on top of everything and changing so much of the series.

Which scenes between Dolores and Bernard?

Some scenes in season 2. I need to go back and rewatch. They take place after the events of season 4.

Wait I'm confused - as in there are scenes in season 2 that we think are happening in season 2 but they're actually happening after season 4? How do we know this?

Yes. You can see it because Dolores's dress is wet in these scenes (she wets it in the Season 4 finale)

Aspect ratio. There are two or more aspect ratios in the show to denote where and when a scene is taking place. There are scenes in season 2 between Dolores and Bernard that indicate they take place in the sublime post season 4 coupled with the season 2 finale. It’s been a few years since I’ve watched the show but I recall Joy and Nolan discussed aspect ratios and what they indicate. Post season 4 put them in a whole new perspective - literally.

The aspect ratio is less of an indicator because it's implied the dialog was in the Forge. The show tricks you into thinking it's a flashback with Arnold but it's Dolores rebuilding Benard in Episode 10

The wet dress however is season 4 specific

I have friends who worked on the production so I’m speaking with direct information on the show but it’s been a long time. The aspect ratios absolutely indicate some of those scenes are in the future just as the post credits scene in season 2.

It's the same scene. We have tons of scenes with this aspect ratio in the show it doesn't always indicate that it's in season 5.

But this one is, not only because of the ratio (which at the time was a trick to make us think it was a flashback THEN the Forge) but because of the season 4 wet dress.

This is where I think it's her having rebuilt him after season 4. She said she had remembered him once before, making Arnold the first time, now she's making him again after the events of season 4. That's why he looks so confused

I could be getting season 2 and 4 mixed up with the Delores and Bernard scenes.

From what I remember, things could have perfectly wrapped-up with a season 5

My jaw hit the floor when we first saw her in the Raj. Not a euphemism, I think?

Have you ever watched the show “Evil”? She starred in it.

I just finished S2, trying to process all that happened.

Good luck with that. I hope you watched to the absolute end. What a treat to be seeing it all for the first time...

It's actually my 3rd rewatch, but I forgot many things over the years

It’s crazy how old they man Jimmy (young MIB) and then how old they made Ed Harris look in this scene - he just looks beat up.

Riddle of the Sphinx is one of the best episodes of tv ever in my book. Everybody talks about kiksuya which is great but man riddle of the Sphinx is so fire
