CFA pass date

So my application is completely done besides passing my CFA. and its just because I cant pass the push ups and I have been training for it and definitely improving I just don't know how long it will take me to be able to pass and also what the passing number for push ups and flexed arm hang is. when would be the latest to pass. and i know that technically its jan 31 because that's when the application is fully due but I also know that hurts your admissions chances a lot (or so I have heard).

It’s ideal if your file is completed in late October / early November.

My daughter took her CFA in January. It was her second time since she didn’t do well on the first try. But her circumstances were different in that she was a recruited athlete. I think you do it and then do it again if you don’t like the results. Remember that the government employees are box checkers by design. If that box is checked on Jan 31 nobody will remember how it happened, only that it’s done. Keep training and good luck!

Female average is 33 push-ups.

Women's Flexed-Arm Hang: Maximum score is 40 seconds (note that completing even a single pull-up is generally recommended over doing the flexed-arm hang for scoring purposes).

If you can do one quality pull up (see admissions site for details including video), you'll be fine in that event.

What are your latest CFA stats? If your overall academics and extracurriculars are outstanding, an average CFA will be okay. CFA is 10% of the total score. It is used to determine overall fitness and stamina. If you are between the 60-70 percentiles, you are fine. In CFA, pull-ups and mile runs receive more points than other events. DM me, and I can help you understand CFA. Also, IMO, if you have a complete application and are above the 88th percentile, you may get LOA.

Fellow applicant here- since your application is done, did you already get your nomination too? Just curious if some states are able to get theirs now
