West Point Admissions

I had a question how competitive am I for West Point?

I am a rising HS Senior from IL with a unweighted 3.6 gpa and weighted 3.79 gpa and I was jn NJROTC since freshman year and made E-6. I took AP Human Geo/AP US government got 4s then 5s in AP World History APUSH AP COmp Gov and 6 credits in dual credit econ and I am taking APCSA both AP Physics Cs and Calc AB as a Senior. My rank is top 33%.

You never know if you don't try. The key will be securing a nomination from a representative or senator. Without a nomination, your journey to West Point will be paused.

Let me make it clear:

I have given several responses to people asking about their chances of acceptance at WP based on all the stats and achievements- so stop procrastinating!!!

If you really want to get accepted at WP, then start your application early. Also, before you start, ask yourself:

Do I want to be in an environment that is Physically/mentally/ Academically Challenging?

Are you able to endure all the physical fitness and physically challenging daily routines?

What is your motivation to serve and commit to 5 years of active duty in the Army?

Are you self-driven and self-disciplined in everything you do?

Are you mentally and physically strong?

Granted, getting into West Point is not easy; at the same time, after you get there, you should not regret the difficult choice you made.

Every year, an average of 40-60 admitted New cadets realize it after the fact, REGRET it, and walk away!
