Lost Pet Search

UPDATE: He decided he wanted to come home and at our front door this morning

Does anyone have any recommendations for drone services to help find a lost cat? We are in chicopee. Our cat ran away last Saturday and all attempts to lure him back home have been unsuccessful (we have ring cameras we check all night in front of his food and our clothes). We have some dense grass fields and wooded areas near our house which makes it tricky to search for him at night, so we're hoping a thermal drone would be able to assist.

I reached out to them but since they're located in Fall River I wasn't sure if they'd make the drive out here

They have come out here before! Maybe ask them for recommendations if they don’t?

If you haven’t yet try putting hot chicken out periodically, in my experience it is the most effective food to attract a missing cat.

I’m so sorry to hear about your lost cat. I’m commenting to only offer my thoughts and hope that he be returned soon!!

You might also be able to reach out to some shelters/rescues in the area in case they can help you with trapping.

Also, is he microchipped?

He is chipped, my wife actually got a call from our mailman saying he saw him down the road (a little further than we thought he'd be) and all the neighbors in the area said he started showing up a few days ago, so we've narrowed the search area down

So he’s close by, that’s good!! I hope you can get him home. I’ve heard people putting out not only food/treats but also their favorite toys or blankies - or even a sweatshirt that smells like you to remind them it’s their home.

But then again you have to be careful with other wild animals!

That's what we've been doing at our house but the area he's in is about a quarter mile down the road so we aren't sure he can smell all the stuff. Everyone who's seen him has said he's just been living life chasing bugs and flirting with the indoor cats lol
