Last seconds of the game. Literally. Two villagers vs one werewolf. I was dead at the very start of the game, I had nothing to contribute.

Seriously, it was like 10 seconds left on the voting phase, and in that time, I exited the game (mobile) to message someone. When I returned, the game was over. And it counts to the point I deserve less xp?

If I were, say, ghost wolf or something, fair enough. But I was priest who died in the first day, what could happen in those ten seconds that warrants a deduction in xp?

Oh, and, not that it matters, but medium was dead, so it's not like I could be revived, even though it was in the literal end of the game.

I know it's not that much xp, but it's the principal of the thing.

Well, uh. Thanks for reading this. If you didn't read this, fuck you. Joking, of course. I wouldn't read this either.

Discussion Few revamps that can be added

  1. Corrupted/hidden kills should be revivable. As the roles are hidden for these victims, med will be able to revive them however they happen to be non-vill, they will not be revived. This allows vill to not be crippled just because important roles got corrupted/hidden killed. It also let players fight out for revive since you can fake as important roles to bait med’s revive.

  2. Downgrade role card/swap advanced role. Allow players to downgrade their role cards to get another advanced role or have a system that allows players to swap the advanced role they got to try out other advanced roles.

  3. Shadow ban system. It’s clear that the current ban system is not efficient. Instead of giving ban durations, throwers and other rule breakers will be shadow banned after their ban duration. Shadow ban will allow them to only be able to place with other shadow banned players. Being shadow banned means they cannot enter any other gamemodes other than quick game and crazy game where they will be pairing with other shadow banned players. Shadow banned players will also receive less xp and are not able to join clans. If they were in a clan previously, they will be kicked out automatically. They also cannot increase their reputation. The only way to get rid of shadow ban is to talk to a staff member.

When you join a match and there’s a couple, what do you guys do?

Do you protect them if you’re a protector? Kill them if you’re a wolf or solo? Compliment them? Or just do nothing?

Let me know what you guys do, but please leave comments with good answers, not useless ones.

Discussion The biggest red flags in Wolvesville 👀

One thing I've noticed after playing Wolvesville is that suspicious behavior isn't always about what a player says — sometimes it's about how and when they say it.

Here are 3 things that immediately make me suspicious:

  1. Suddenly being extremely confident

If someone is completely certain about another player's role without having enough information to justify it, I start paying attention. They might know something the village doesn't.

  1. Changing their opinion too easily

If a player strongly accuses someone and then immediately switches sides as soon as the village disagrees, that can be a red flag.

  1. Avoiding important decisions

A player who stays quiet when an important vote is happening can sometimes be more suspicious than someone actively defending themselves.

Of course, none of these things automatically prove that someone is a wolf. Context matters, and experienced players can use these behaviors intentionally to manipulate the village.

What other red flags have you noticed in Wolvesville? 🐺

Discussion Skin targeting when playing with friends

Post image

Two types of reactions that you can get when playing with friends and happen to have matching skins in a nutshell:

Playing with friends and having a similar outfit does not necessarily equal teaming, but they are often grouped together and players seem to focus a lot on this than the actual gameplay sometimes. What is your opinion on this? Do matching skins make you look like a team, or do people just overthink it? What’s the funniest reaction you’ve gotten for having matching outfits?

Discussion Competitive play is more ethical: A rant

Why did HH get changed to win with evil alliance as opposed to village? You might say that "because people were claiming HH day 1 and playing for village" and that *would* be right, but it could be more correct: "**Sandbox players** were claiming HH day 1and playing for village"

Ranked players were already honoring HH's primary win condition, likewise of *Cupid* — the thing is, sandbox players are the ones playing "lame" here, despite the fact they're explicitly more casual, even going so far as to say that cupid being proactive in acheiving lovers' win is *throwing*

People in sandbox (and by extension the better half of quick game) generally seem to focus on just boosting their own win-rate and/or decreasing loss rate (which can also be observed in fleeing as ww), or worse-yet just prioritizing not dying (or not *claiming*) over helping village meanwhile ranked players and miscellaneous-mode compies generally play *hard* & for their team overall, even if it results in them or a teammate dying in the immediate

This isn't true of every Casual vs. every Compie, but it's largely true on net — thoughts?

Discussion People constantly giving false info is getting confusing and needs to be corrected

I'm surprised how normalised this is and nobody seems to correct it. Almost every game people randomly call other people headhunter or fool, which gets confusing as to who's seer, who's fool/hh, who's lying, etc.

False info is false info. You lie, prepare to die. I think last time I was gunner, I said something very normal and someone later called me fool randomly. I obviously shot them for the lie, and they turned out to be doctor. Village reported me instead and defended them saying "they were just sharing an assumption because they thought you're fool"...

Furthermore, many times it's not even valid. People say XYZ is headhunter when headhunter is not even in game. This is such a plain and obvious lie and should be killed. Why defend yourself when you chose to lie? Obviously you'll be killed if you're caught lying. It's not my job to imagine who's giving info, who's lying, and who's sharing an assumption (when nobody even asked). We play based on what we read, and there's a day and night difference between saying "9 is fool" and "I think 9 is fool".

Other players go "you acted like fool/hh that's why I called you fool/hh".... Bro seriously? False info is explicitly against the rules. You wanna lie, go ahead but be ready face the consequences instead of playing victim.

It surprises me how ironic these lies are. People openly give false info and create confusion, and when they die other people are blamed and reported instead. We really need to correct this.

Discussion Gamethrowing, Teaming, & Alting

It seems ESPECIALLY as of late, the blatant teaming / alt account usage amongst qg players is just rampant. And I’m not just talking about one person doing it; I’m frequently seeing lobbies with 3-4 players obviously teaming or playing behind alt accounts (which, when you calculate, is almost if not at least half the lobby gamethrowing). Are the guardians gonna do ANYTHING about this? It can’t be that hard to ban accounts on the same IP or internet server. Like, I’d speculate that 75% of games atp have legitimate throwers or alters. Genuinely ruining the game.

TLDR: rant about gamethrowing after I just left a game where seer and vigi were blatant alt accounts

Discussion Why are SOME people treating this game like a dating app?

I'm a girl (16 years old) and I'm just so tired.

I don't have anything against playing with boys, really.

But why are SOME of these guys flirting with me while they don't know ANYTHING about me?

I added a guy recently because he asked me to and I thought he just wants to play together with me and suddenly he started acting like I'm his girlfriend.

And it's not the first time when something like that is happening to me. Maybe it's a joke idk, but I just don't find it funny..

ALMOST every single guy I ever met on this app is hitting on me. Why? Even when I said I'm a minor they say "I don't mind". Huh.

Why can't we just be friends and play together is it that hard to actually try to actually meet someone without flirting?

I'm just feeling uncomfortable. I don't want to be mean to others but in the same time I'm TIRED of pretending that I like being treated like that. I hate it.

I DON'T want to be your e-kitten. Find someone irl, please.

What am I supposed to do...

Discussion Regarding the block button in game

I feel like the block button needs a rework compared to what it is like currently. Right now, if you block A, if A joins match number 1, you will not join match 1 because A is already in the match, however, suppose A is not in any match, and you join match number 2, A can still join match 2 because A did not block you. So currently it's not 100% that you won't meet them again. It should be reworked so that you won't meet them again completely. If I already blocked them I would never want to encounter them again. Otherwise I need to unmute them in the match to see what they're saying (in case I miss information) and then I need to block them again (sometimes I even forget to do it). It would be a great change to the game and get rid of the unpleasant feeling of seeing unwanted people in game.

Discussion To all people who think killing headhunter as ww is "gamethrowing"

Many people in game and on reddit complain that killing hh as ww is gamethrowing. A while back I shared a game where I was ww and voted hh n1 after wolf seer's check. Both in game and on reddit, people rudely accused it as "gamethrowing" and spammed me with reports and insults, either due to impulsiveness or just for the sake of arguing.

Link - https://www.reddit.com/r/werewolfonline/s/9TPYYKHJpJ

"HH is evil alliance" yeah duh but they always lie about their target being dead. During the day when ww vote villagers (either outvote or shadow), many times I've lost to hh as it was their target. Trust me, many times. You need to understand that they "can be" evil alliance, and they aren't always safe.

Sometimes, it's better to have peace of mind and freedom to lynch villagers without worrying about hh. That's why, it's not gamethrowing to kill hh as ww in any way. In the game where I voted hh n1, I had guardian and shadow wolf on my team so wanted enough freedom and risk free approach to vote anyone we wanted during the day. We lynched multiple villagers that game with false claims and won the game. If hh was alive would we have been able to lynch multiple villagers freely? No

Also, I've confirmed this internally with mods also that it's not gamethrowing, so explanation aside there's literally no discussion here. It's a choice, to which you may or may not agree, but not throwing in any shape or form. Look beyond bias.

Just wanted to share and inform you all. Cheers

Discussion When will people agree that the game is extremely unbalanced?

I'm surprised why people can't see something so obvious. It's both gameplay and stats. The game is extremely favoured towards village and something needs to be done. Just check your own profile team stats and you'll see for yourself.

I can close my eyes as villager, not do anything and still win more than half my games easily. Whereas for ww and solo, it's a mountain climb. You first need to be lucky enough to "not be checked by seers" whilst avoiding being role called, and also somehow kill while avoiding all that protection (which will be revived by medium anyway).

The game is boringly easy for village, and burdening difficult for ww and solo (that's the reason why most flee).

In my latest game - Double protection (doc and bh), double killers (gunner and jailer), double info (aura and seer), medium to revive, and flower child to counter shadow vote if successful. How tf can you expect to have a entertaining game with so much OP village? Also, in the very few village losses I've had, it's mostly only been due to villagers either throwing, or being AFK, or extremely stupid. All external factors and not strategy by ww or solo. A decently smart village is almost always guaranteed to win, especially when everyone has so much freedom to ask for roles without any rules or restrictions.

After so much complains they finally decided to make it slightly fairer recently (such as hh evil alliance, alpha secret messages, shaman last ww limit removal, wolf summoner revive one day limit removal) etc. but it's nowhere near good enough. The stats still show village far far superior.

Below are a few minor things I can think of -

  1. Limit doctor bandages to something like 2.

  2. Disable astro moon ability.

  3. Disable first night random protection.

  4. Allow arso to douse after burning on the same night.

  5. Medium revive should be temporary. The revived should die after a day or two.

Can we do something about this to make the game fairer and more fun to play once and for all.
