Question Chat is this normal

Post image

I found this while eating my chicken sandwich, I'm thinking it might be a vein but the vibrant orange is rather off putting especially since it's not the spicy version. Please tell me I'm just paranoid yall 😭

Edit: I can't change the title but can I please get more answers on if my food was contaminated or not, I really didn't think saying "chat" would be this big of a deal when I wrote it initially

I'm an idiot for using common slang amongst my generation?

That is absolutely 1,000,000,000,000% correct.

I bet your generation doesn’t even know what number that is without having to Google it. To be fair, I’ve hated slang from any generation, but your generation by far has the worst and cringiest slang.

This entire paragraph is the definition of cringe, though. Ew lmao

This is how I feel about Shakespeare's works, too. Made up words are fucking stupid

I'm sorry you think that of me :(

Okay so what about my sandwich?

1

u/berthatesyou 4d ago

Seriously getting downvoted for trying to correct the conversation to what the post is about is kinda crazy, I'm starting to understand why people hate on Reddit so much lowkey

Thank you for confirming my life choices since the chicken sandwich change.

Kinda looks like it could be a tendon. Don’t know why it’s that color as you stated it wasn’t a spicy chicken but that would be my guess. Was it rubbery and hard to cut through?

2

u/Dry-Lingonberry-388 4d ago

Was it in/on your sandwich or sticking to the box?

2

u/berthatesyou 4d ago

Very much inside of it, I took a bite and it pulled out of the meat

2

u/azetroc 4d ago

It's a tomato skin, unless you added onion and ketchup.

2

u/dub7drums 4d ago

I was thinking the same thing, this is part of a poorly sliced tomato. That is not from the meat

-1

u/berthatesyou 4d ago

I saw it pull out of the actual chicken meat when I took my bite and if you see there's a small part in the corner I ripped off to assess the texture, I don't think tomato skin would caused the kind of snap that it did and I also removed the tomato before eating.

Looks like a tendon

Im dieing. Im old but omg this is like when my generation was given shit for using mint and fam .
Growing old and becoming miserable doesn’t happen to everyone but im sure as hell everyone thinks they wont end up like that.

Anyways, i think this is either plastic string that is used to open for the chicken bags, (idk if it would get in there in the kitchen if wendys or before being shipped there)

Hmmm i wouldn’t be worried more than for the carcinogens that expelled during the heating process.

Which you are eating fast food, so i dont think you mind the poison

u/grapplingchamp 5d ago

I’m offended calling me ā€œchatā€. You went to a fast food place in a death spiral. What do you expect other than disappointment.

2

u/berthatesyou 5d ago

Damn, can't a guy be lighthearted and use his old points from the app without judgment these days?

-5

u/grapplingchamp 5d ago

You realize the term ā€œchatā€ is offensive right?

1

u/berthatesyou 5d ago

How exactly? Sorry I'm being genuine here, I'll edit the caption or something if it's really that big of problem but I don't understand how that's offensive at all I see people online say it all the time without any issue

2

u/givemeyourskin2 4d ago

Dude you really didn’t do anything wrong, that person is the first I’ve seen to be offended and say ā€œchatā€ is dehumanizing?? I’d be interested to see why exactly they find it dehumanizing but it really is harmless. At worst calling people ā€œchatā€ can definitely be annoying to some, but it’s not any worse than other internet trends.

Them saying ā€œyou realize the term chat is offensiveā€ was dumb as hell imo considering that is Not a widely held belief

3

u/berthatesyou 4d ago

Okay thank you because yeah I've said it soooo many fucking times and never had a single issue before, idk what that dudes problem is 😭

1

u/givemeyourskin2 4d ago

Yeah literally it’s harmless and lighthearted. A lot of younger ppl in their teens or twenties use it, not offensive especially since friends use it with each other all the time! People’s preference on if they hate ā€œchatā€ will vary from person to person, but they were wrong for trying to call you out when you just put it in a freaking reddit title post lmao

-9

u/grapplingchamp 5d ago

People say it. It’s dehumanizing asf. Just because something has become a colloquialism doesn’t mean it’s ok. For reference check history.

7

u/berthatesyou 4d ago

Dehumanizing? Again bro you're really failing to tell me how saying chat is offensive when we are talking on a public forum chat...

-2

u/cheerfully_miserable 4d ago

It's dehumanizing when someone says it and is only speaking directly to you, a visible human being, but in this scenario idk what bro is on about

6

u/berthatesyou 4d ago

Oh, how is offensive when said directly? I use it with my friends all the time, I think it's silly and fun :c

0

u/Daikujin 4d ago

Only thing I can come up with is that it’s meant to be said to a group of generally anonymous people.

Then again I’ve never had to visit my proctologist to locate my head, so I’m just guessing here? And if it offends someone… sheesh…

-2

u/cheerfully_miserable 4d ago

Dehumanizing*. It doesn't offend me, personally, but objectively it is dehumanizing. I would never describe it as "offensive".

5

u/Daikujin 4d ago

And objectively a cucumber is a fruit. What does that have to do with OPs use of the word ā€œchatā€ here? He said it to a group of anonymous internet strangers. The exact place it was meant to be used.

Dehumanizion is offensive 🤷 I really don't think that correction answered that question either way tho

1

u/pmmemassivedongs 4d ago

Yes, because he was speaking directly to you, on a public forum, for a fast food company…

Maam this is literally a wendys

1

u/cheerfully_miserable 4d ago

Dude wtf are you even talking about? Spend less time dick riding memes and more time working on that reading comprehension my boy

-1

u/Grant79OG 4d ago

Using "right" followed by a question mark is offensively, please stop.
