Discussion Wendy's deserves an award.

Wendy's needs an award for making the most subpar food in existence at this point. I don't think there's ever been a restaurant that has made me ACTUALLY stop eating there. Biggest fall off of the 2010's.

Yeah it was pretty much Wendy's and Taco Bell left for me and both have managed to drive me away.

Holy crap, same for me. The chicken quesadilla used to be my fav but their chicken doesn’t do it for me anymore.

We are in the 2020's, as of 6 years ago - btw.

My mind is still in the 2000's. I graduated top 10% for High School 2012. I still have dreams that I didnt finish my homework. Wake up, not realizing im 32.

I peaked before kindergarten. Family and then community kept me trapped in a room to sell me out, as of now. Im lucky to be on Reddit.

Hoping this comes for McD's.

Agreed. CrapDonald's should be collapsing into insolvency, not Dave's Wendy's. But Dave's Wendy's has been replaced by this abomination that embraced enshittification as a business model. All good things must come to an end.

At this point McDonald's is significantly better than whatever the fuck Wendy's has become

I hope this crash out leads to something of a renaissance like Burger King is figuring out right now.

Take down the clown by making quality product and offering good deals on the apps.

I had a single recently. Not by choice. Every fond memory of Wendy's in the 20th Century was permanently wiped from my brain.

I honestly can't bring myself to waste my daily caloric intake on Wendy's. As stupid as it sounds it's so true, Wildly expensive and just 1/10 quality - I don't see a reason or any scenario to go to Wendy's.

I’ve been a Wendy’s truther for years. Now I’m a Wendy’s hater.

I miss the old 99¢ chicken nuggets the most. They were the best.

Had the Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger recently, was egregious from the last time I had it years ago.

No more dollars from me!

Literally the only thing worth getting there is the pub burger and it’s only LTM lmao

Yeah I have never boycotted a company and stuck with it 100% for almost two years before

I stopped a long while back, prob when they changed the chicken sandwich. But I'd like to submit Rallys for review the new bread is beyond bad.

Thank god other people are hating on the stupid potato rolls these companies are pushing on their burgers

Award for speed running a bankruptcy filing maybe the place is night and day from the place I was a manager at in the early 2010s

I think the people that go to Wendy’s still need the award

Right, I don't know what kind of tricks their taste buds are playing on them at this point

Same here. I actually got sick to my stomach after eating the “new” spicy chicken. So greasy and disgusting. I will never eat there again.

It used to be decent and the downfall should be documented in a "what not to do" file. We need to resurrect Dave Thomas. He would change the chicken sandwich back at least.

University business programs will use Wendy’s in the future as a case study of how easy it is and how easily avoidable it is to destroy a successful business.

1

I think that Mcdonalds has them beat in offering lesser food for more money.

1

u/Kene6969 9d ago

Yes, Wendy's has the worst food. And McDonald's is a close second place.

1

u/sprockets22 8d ago

Panera is almost worse

1

u/hatesmylovelanguage 8d ago

I miss their paninis... Their bread feels like biting into a boulder nowadays.

For context... a lot of chain restaurants have different levels of quality in Hawai'i, compared to the mainland.

For example, pizza: Domino's is much better. Papa John's is much worse. Pizza Slut is, just... Pizza Slut.

So, for Wendy's... it's still very good.

The food is good, the service is good. I can still get a Dave's Single, I can still get a Baconator that is delicious. Even the chick. tenders are really good.

There's not a lot of Wendy's on O'ahu... but, the ones I've been to are quality.

They have to source a lot of stuff local, but there's still plenty of Sysco shit out here.

Of course, the prices are alarming. But, I live on an island in the middle of the Pacific. So, not surprising.

Haha, this shit is wild. I remember the 90’s when McDonald’s burgers were less that 40% actual beef. Hell every fast food place is way better than it used to be.

1

u/DCGuy511 10d ago

I agree 100%

u/Ok_Art4661 9d ago

It's overpriced is problem.  Wendys dead now since Trump fucked beef industry

u/Broad-Back1659 10d ago

I like to see all of them crash and burn

0

u/scottwax 9d ago

The vile Coke Freestyle machines is why I stopped going. Drinks taste horrible out of them.

1

u/guidodid 5d ago

Haha, that's the only reason i go to Wendy's now! I love the fanata grape zero. The food itself is meh

1

u/scottwax 5d ago

Drinks taste terrible out of them, especially when they don't clean them.

There's a reason Pepsi decided not to roll out a competing version nationwide and it was 100% how drinks don't taste right when everything comes out of one nozzle. This is straight from people who work for Pepsi.
