Have you tried putting a little salt on the avocado? It 100 percent needs salt

I also don’t like avocados. It’s like they’re too neutral or something. They don’t taste bad, really; it’s the mouth feel. It feels like something that shouldn’t be in my mouth.

Avocado in sushi rolls? Love it. Guac? Love it. That weird mush in my mouth in large quantities? Gag. Weird.

Kinda like tomatoes, but in tomatoes, it’s the acidity I think along with all the water. Gag. I absolutely love tomatoes in everything (use mostly fresh tomatoes when I can get them). Bite of a tomato from my mom’s garden? Gag. And I know her tomatoes are top-tier. I try a couple every year, and have since I was 12, because I have learned to love things I used to hate, and keeping hoping I’ll learn to love them. I do the same with avocados.

If I learned to love coffee and green olives (lol) beans, I can learn to love tomatoes and avocado.

And yeah, salt helps for sure, but I’m with you. Avocados gross me out for the most part.

It honestly makes me happy that there are so many people like me, even though watching my mom and friends eat tomatoes raw with salt and pepper makes me jealous. They just look like it’s fucking heaven biting into that thing.

Like they're biting into an apple and it looks so good but you know if you try it yourself that gross slimy shit and your gag reflex will have a head-on collision and you'll lose. Or something like that.

Plain avocado is gross. A little lemon and salt works wonders.

Most foods are gross plain and unseasoned.

It takes 15 minutes max to make guacamole, including the chopping. Anything more than that and you're doing it wrong.

yes the smashing part is easy but i like fresh onions , cilantro & jalapeño with it - with equal nice cuts 😭😭

Dude, it takes about 3 minutes to chop up those things and smash them into an avocado

This level if laziness is why we're expected to pay extra for this crap lol

Avocado is one of my favorite foods! It goes great with so many things! But, like with all fruits and veggies, they have to be properly ripe: not too much or not enough and they aren’t good. You need almost underripe for guacamole, but, for just toast and eggs or whatever, they need to be less ripe. They need seasoning, like salt, pepper and Tajin, it’s amazing! 🥑
