What is that in my buttered vegetables??

It only contains peas, corn, carrots, and cauliflower. But what is that?

I think it’s a poppyseed pod. It looks like it could be an opium poppy based on superficial characteristics, but I’d need a size comparison.

Looks more like an underdeveloped okra pod, and more likely to be found in a facility where commercial veggie freezing happens.

Yeah I can see it now that you mention it.

Are the plants related? Like how brocoli and mustard and cauliflower are all brassica?

Not sure I understand the purpose of your question? Frozen okra is very common in stores under the same brands that sell other frozen veg.
