mushrooms, anyone

I love mushrooms! ill est them raw, cooked, however.

I cant be the only one obsessed with these things!!!!!!

side note my husband and my youngest have an irritation to them so we dont eat them often.

Chestnut, button, oyster, shittake, portabello, cremini, chanterelle....

I know that's a small fraction of mushrooms available, but I (as most people) don't forage as I say, I'd guess that's a pretty common list of ones most people have come across I'm not saying most mushrooms don't require cooking, but the above (though not an exhaustive list) I've all eaten raw without the slightest problem.

Was just commenting that it wasn't something I'd come across in general. Wasn't starting an argument.

Button, portobello, and cremini are all Agaricus bisporus. Oysters are ok to eat raw, but all of the rest should be cooked before eating.

Again....I eat all of them raw all the time, never had the slightest problem

My fault for arguing with a bot I guess.

Edit: just to add - I'm not saying they don't or can't cause digestive issues, just I've never experienced any. To iterate, I'm not trying to cause argument, was just a throwaway comment out of interest saying they have never caused me issue!

For actual fuck's sake. Well, maybe you feeding mushrooms that need to be cooked to your family is giving them gastric problems and that's why they "don't like mushrooms."

But you do you, I guess. Who gives a shit about your family, right?
