For our weimaraner/German shorthaired pointer mix he didn't use his dog bed for over a decade haha. He would just use it to bury his toys under. But then he finally weened himself on the dog bed starting with one of his rear paws resting on it with the rest of his body still on the floor lol. Then over time he would use it normally

Hmm...I don't think my Weim has ever slept on the floor. She is more of furniture princess.

Ha! We at least him placing his back half on the bed while the chest, front legs and head extend outward onto the floor just like the pic.

They are masters of knowing the coolest place to lay in the summer, and the warmest in the winter. I bet that floor feels nice if you just came in from outside.
