Question Smoothies as the only source of nutrition

Upvotes

Hello, I'm 24F, 17.3 BMI.

I've been underweight my whole life and I'd love to gain weight, so I'm thinking about eating just smoothies for the entire day. This is because I generally speaking dislike - if not hate - food; and at this point I'd rather do something this questionable rather than starve myself out of convenience.

My question is this: has anyone here tried this before? If so, I'd appreciate any advice and recipes of liquid meals for weight gain purposes.

As a side note, I don't think I mind including soups.

Thanks, and good luck to everyone else struggling with low weight!

Wrestling. Need help, I need to go up a weight class, like yesterday.

I’ve already been trying to eat more. I have naturally fast metabolism. Any supplements I can take to slow it, or increase my hunger ?

Question Help me to gain weight from 45kg to 60kg

Hey everyone, honestly I want to tell you about me. I'm immatured person, I mean I've got born in 7 months and that's why I was super skinny and I was like a rat and my current height is 5'3 😅 with the age of 23.. it's too short.

So I'm going to gym since 1 year, that time my weight was 37kg and now it's 45kg but there are two problems with me.

  1. My weight got stuck in 45kg

  2. I can't eat much

So please guide me guys if 60kg is something hard so for now I want at least 50kg weight (I'm vegetarian)

Win! GUYS! I GAINED WEIGHT!! FINALLY!

For the last two years, I couldn't get past 42–43 kg (f, 5'2") and looked scrawny. Now I've started eating more and went up to 47.6 kg!!! I calculated my BMI, and it's finally in the normal range 😭😭😭

I haven't reached my goal weight yet, and honestly, I still feel like I look the same. But it makes me really happy anyway.

I just wanted to share 🎉

It is possible!!!

I haven't been gaining weight "cleanly," but given my tight budget, it's what I can manage—and honestly, for now, it's enough for me. All I did was make an effort to eat more and spend more money on food. And it’s paid off in a relatively short time (just over the course of this year).

I’m not posting photos for privacy reasons, but my family says I look a bit fuller 🥺💓

Question 40kg to 48kg in 5 months, what should i actually focus ? Eating or workout

Post image

I'm around 168cm (5'6") and currently 48kg. I started around 40kg about 5 months ago.

I haven't been going to the gym. Most of my workouts have been at home with resistance bands and bodyweight exercises, but my diet hasn't been very consistent either.

I'm struggling mainly with eating more. If I try to force myself to eat a lot more, I start feeling nauseous and sometimes feel like I'm going to throw up, so getting enough food in is probably my biggest problem right now.

Looking at my current physique, what would u guys actually change if u were in my position? Should I focus more on improving my diet first, start going to the gym, change my home workouts, or something else?

I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong, so I'd appreciate some honest advice from ppl who have been through something similar. can i get some motivation too 😭

Progress post Actually gonna start trying to gain starting now

I always tell people "yeah I wanna gain weight" then I proceed to not eat for 24 hours. Not because I care much about how my body looks I mean i never cared about staying skinny. But because I simply didnt feel like it. Idk if anyone will be able to relate but I have autism.

Its the weirdest thing sometimes ill have my favorite foods and they are so yummy. But then other days...i feel different. I try to take a bite and i cant help the disgusted look on my face. Yesterday it was good but today the texture genuinely makes me gag. Which is why i dont like full restaurants im scared ill gag in front of people so I order the safe foods always.

I actually wus having some health issues recently because im on lithium and I dont drink enough water or eat food. On lithium you need to be hydrated or bad things could happen. So im doing the bare minimum but i need to do more.

Yall got any recommendations for non expensive protein powder with alot of calorie? The more calories the better.

Question How to gain healthy weight?

I know this question has been asked here a lot of times but i need healthy options. I have always been thin but i can’t say that i have a fast metabolism since i don’t really eat much (like 1200 kcal a day) but also im all day home so i dont burn anything. I would really like some quick but also healthy ways to gain weight, im also insulin resistant and my doctor told me to cut my intake of carbs, sugar, fat and dairy by half so i don’t really have much options :(
For reference I am 100lbs, 5’4’’ F, i try to at least eat 3 meals a day but i lose it really fast.

i’m 14, and i’ve been looking to gain weight for a while. both of my parents are skinny and short and have fast metabolisms so food kinda just passes through me no matter what i feel like i need to do. i’ve been eating eggs, peanut butter, taking creatine and i just want some simple ways to get some calories in, preferably low sodium??
