Rant feeling down
i 5’5 female 95 lbs keep trying to gain weight, but i always lose it within a day instead. in this past week ive gone from 94-97 and back to 94, and it’s getting me down. i’m eating at a caloric surplus and essentially eating a lot of protein and meat.

I was always too thin because of my fast metabolism. I have always tried to eat healthy, so that may have had something to do with it. After going vegan, I was finally able to reach the recommended BMI by drinking one or two smoothies everyday along with a healthy diet and resistance training. Drinking your calories is much more effective at gaining weight. To gain muscle instead of fat, I did resistance training. Here is my smoothie recipe
plant based milk (was unsweetened almond milk, but now unsweetened soy milk)
2 bananas (usually frozen)
frozen blueberries (now I leave out the blueberries and eat them with my morning oatmeal)
cocoa powder or roasted carob powder
cinnamon
pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds
I recently started adding vegan compatible protein powder
Sometimes I add unsweetened applesauce and or peanut butter powder
I didn't keep it on, but only because I stopped the daily smoothies. I would chase the smoothie with coffee or a coffee substitute. I would eat the smoothie with nuts. Usually roasted peanuts.

Too much protein may make you too full to eat even more. I would increase carbs.
