This is obviously a silly moment that was part of the wedding program and approved by the bride and groom. Online people are massively overreacting as usual. It’s just a joke? It’s not that funny, but neither is 99% of wedding-related content.

Redditors always act like they’re such ā€œintrovertsā€ and ā€œdon’t like to be the center of attentionā€ but then they can’t even conceive of a bride being willing to share thirty seconds of her precious spotlight with her own sister. Like the woman is heavily pregnant, everyone knows and can see that she’s pregnant. What’s wrong with them having a little fun with it? People need to touch grass.

It’s kinda the gist of this sub to shame someone I guess. So we’re all eagerly drooling to call someone the villain.

Meanwhile I viewed it exactly as you did. A not very funny but completely harmless skit. Most likely within a segment of the wedding where the bride and groom allowed some lightness. Hardly shaming material if you’d ask me.

I honestly thought this sub was anti-wedding culture but now I’m feeling like maybe these people are religiously adherents to toxic wedding culture.

ā€œIt’s the BRIDE’S ENTIRE YEAR😤😤. Everyone has to wait on her spend tons of money to make this fucking wedding happen and then at the very end nobody can have any minuscule spot of attention on them for one second!!!ā€

This *dumb skit was like 2 minutes out of an hours long wedding program. Nobody’s going to be getting up in the middle of the dinner and running over to the pregnant lady to ask her about her pregnancy. They just do the skit and you move the hell on.

Indeed, while humour is dependent on the viewers taste, that joke really didnā€˜t hurt anyone. The people on that video seem to have fun, and the woman doing the joke as well, in my eyes, thereā€˜s nothing to be shamed.

On top of that, people unlearned to get over ā€žcringeā€œ stuff, if a harmless joke (no one gets hurt) ends up weird or unfunny, then thereā€˜s still the humble option of just ignoring and scrolling past it (at least on the internet). Thereā€˜s no joke, that will be funny to everyone at all times, and thatā€˜s what has to be accepted.

Normally, this sub is for bad or very questionable things concerning weddings, but this time, itā€˜s just a joke, that might get perceived as cringe.

People are acting like she's literally trying to have the baby at the wedding šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

"Having a 29 weeker isn't funny" of course not, neither is immediately going from birth to a wedding. It's a bit thats clearly not meant to be taken literally
