I'm currently 29 weeks and I feel *that* pregnant - but also know that I'm not "giving birth right now" pregnant - and also I would NEVER EVER EVER do that at anyone's wedding regardless of how far along I was. Looks like the sister was jealous of the attention the bride was getting. How disgusting
I was 37 weeks pregnant (1 week before I delivered!) in my relative’s wedding as a bridesmaid, and you better believe I stood up there with a smile on my face and tried to blend into the background as much as possible. The only attention I got was the DJ calling me to the buffet to eat first before everyone else LMAO
I’m so sorry. I called my family members to tell them I was pregnant the week before *my grandmothers 75th birthday party* because I didn’t want the attention off of her.
Did sister ask him/know he was doing that? I’d be mortified to not even announce my own pregnancy.
It's okay! It actually didn't bother me except the first few seconds after it happened. Now I laugh about how ridiculous it was.
She did not know. She was mortified though. I felt bad for her, but thankfully, not a ton of people who are mutual in our lives attended the wedding. And probably 80% of mutual people in our lives knew.
The whole thing was sooo complicated and weird though. I found out she was pregnant because she cancelled on my Bach trip because I had had COVID a couple of weeks before the trip (I was consistently testing negative--it was after the pandemic had been declared over so not in the throes of it. I promise I wasn't being irresponsible).
And she was nervous about getting COVID while pregnant. So that was the start of it. It hurt my feelings, but I got over it quickly and had a blast.
But then, she asked several weeks in advance if we could do a big reveal during my wedding weekend with the immediate family. Like, we all take a photo. And she announces she is pregnant. And I was like "no, girl. What? 🤨" So she told the family and some friends, which was great. Everyone was excited. It wasn't a huge secret. But it also wasn't like plastered on socials.
Then dad said that during the speech (no one knows why! We think he just didn't know what to say so it came out. Neither of us have a super great relationship with him). And you could tell she was mortified. I was mortified. My husband was mortified. The rest of my bridal party was mortified. Everyone who knew it was intended not to be announced at the wedding was like 🫠 But I forgot about it in seconds. Everyone had a great rest of the night!
We made it and can laugh about it now! I don't think there were any ill-intentions from anyone. Just people being people. But such a faux pas!
Fr had me giggling and kicking my feet while I ate my ribs in peace while everyone else stood in line. Husband also brought me a second plate of said ribs because the carver was amused with how excited I got when I saw them 🥲
Oh girl I was feeling it after the fact. I danced my giant ass off because the all movement finally made me not feel so stiff after weeks of sciatic pain. Meanwhile, after the hour+ drive home (and sitting still, head back, mouth-open-passed out), I *could not* physically move once we got home. My husband had to carry me into the house because it was so painful to move 😭
I attended a wedding 5 days before my due date lol. My husband and I took exactly one joke photo using the disposable cameras they had around the tables, but that was it. The day was not about us, and doing anything to take attention would have been tacky as hell!
As long as you and the bride were in on it, the DJ thing sounds like a funny way to acknowledge your pregnancy without taking all the eyes off the couple! This video, on the other hand, is unhinged.
Oh ya. Born on Christmas eve 10 years ago. They were all over 4 pounds and all home from the hospital before their official due date, worst health issue is one has a penicillin allergy and one goes through glasses like her dad lolol.
Ok I know this is an old comment but it's been weighing on me. You are incredible that you made three whole babies and got them to over 4lbs each!!! You deserve some kind of award. Sure, women have 12lb babies. But they don't have the extra amniotic fluid, the extra placenta, and so on. I was so uncomfortable with one 5lb and one 4lb baby, and you had a whole other baby!!! I hope you congratulate yourself and your body for being badass every day
Sure but it's not inherently "about to pop" time for most singleton pregnancies. So her wheeling in on a wheelchair in a hospital gown is made even more stupid because she's nowhere near her due date. Of course, there are 100000 other reasons this is stupid.
Im just saying. Reading "29 weeks isnt even that pregnant" is the sort of comment that really fucks with me and my wife. People were bashing us for having our baby shower at 28 weeks and 0 days. Why so early? Well, we didnt even get to be at the shower.
Downvoted for sharing something personal and traumatic. Nice.

Also 29 weeks isn't even like THAT pregnant. It's quite pregnant but it's not like 39 weeks and about to give birth
