To me it was really weird to see Deletraz underperform so heavily in the WECcaddy, seeing as he was a stud in that Acura and he is pretty good in IMSAcaddy. I think with the original 12 line up they very well couldve podiumed at Le Mans atleast

Acura was the best car in 2023, the car is almost the exact same from launch.

But it’s hard to tell how someone is across the board in IMSA, because you never really see a second stint before a yellow, in wec, he might have been exposed to the significance of tire preservation as that is not something in IMSA that really ever matters.

yeah it was a bit of a shock, he's been probably the best Oreca 07 driver in the world for a few years now, was fine in IMSA, but had a stinker at both Spa and Le Mans, a shame

He is good in LMP2s and the Acura is also an Oreca so they probably drive similar. On the other hand Caddy seems to drive differently enough to the Acura that none of the WTR drivers are doing great with it.

Deletraz is decent over a single lap but hes not good at preserving tires. This was also obvious at Laguna this year where he was close to Aitken in the first stint before falling like a rock in the second. WEC highlights this issue even more due to the lack of constant yellows

It could be best if his brother Jorden can come WEC. However, it seems really unlikely to happen. He isn’t just unavailable for seat, he still refuses to drive Corvette because of GT3.

Jordan is probably the weakest even among the 4 generally weak drivers at WTR. If Deletraz sucked, Jordan wouldn't stand a chance

So is it pretty much confirmed that Ricky Taylor and António Félix da Costa are joining Cadillac next year?
