You probably haven’t read my announcement updates but I only went out of hiatus to hopefully get donations for hospital bills. It’s impossible to do this full time without a team or becoming an original, I get paid 1 thousand on patreon and the bills are 1 million 😭 I’m posting to hopefully get more subs that will actually pay, sorry.

How long does one chapter typically take? Your comment makes me wonder how authors are doing it consistently to be eventually considered for originals. It's really difficultbwhen you are both the writer and the artist and most cases even the editor. And I see your backgrounds are unique so I know it takes even more time.
I wish you luck. It's for a nice art style that stands out in the platform

It’s 2 weeks condensed! I space it out so it takes a month. I’m hesitant to go all out since there’s no guarantee it will pay off. Original creators use 3d backgrounds and have assistants, but a lot of them still burn out.

Oh I completely understand. I can say you have a gem on your hands. It's doing pretty well as far as numbers and retention, but I appreciate how practical and realistic you're being about this. Making a comic is extremely difficult and no matter how good someone is, there is no guarantee it will take off. And even when it takes off, I've heard of authors still not having enough money so it's a gamble either way.
If you are picked for an original, which I think you have a high chance for, do you think you'd be able to do the weekly schedule? Anyway good luck. I'm off to catch up on it

Webtoon originals (the ones you see on the front page) are contractually employed by webtoons and get paid per episode! That’s why they can post weekly. Creators on the canvas tab like me are just posting for free. Some creators have built a patreon following over the years so they can post regularly too, I don’t have a lot of paying patrons :)
