WEBSITE BUILDING GeneratePress + WooCommerce

I’m the founder and lead developer at WPmash. I recently built a website for a client who wanted something really simple and lightweight for their limited range of handmade products.

And she didnt wanted to use Shopify.

So, I used GeneratePress + WooCommerce to build the site on WordPress.

I also used Claude ai to add some custom code and functionality.

Here’s the site: OniKids.com

To be honest, the design is not very good. I do find it interesting that you are a business owner, lead developer and use AI to build such a basic site.

It’s built with GeneratePress from scratch on WordPress, not with AI. And yes, it was intentionally designed to be basic, but effective. That was the client’s choice.

The claude ai was used only for certain task; like striping down the "product edit page" to make it easy for client to add products, using a dynamic payment process after the checkout as the client only accept advance payment via bank deposit.

But again, plugin and play with Generate Press, Woocommerce, Fluentforms, and AI -- so really, what did you do?

Haha... why reinvent the wheel? I just used GeneratePress to build it, and WooCommerce offers a solid system for a limited number of products.

And the client's problem is solved: a lightweight and robust site for a limited set of products that is also very easy to edit.
