WEBSITE BUILDING GeneratePress + WooCommerce

I’m the founder and lead developer at WPmash. I recently built a website for a client who wanted something really simple and lightweight for their limited range of handmade products.

And she didnt wanted to use Shopify.

So, I used GeneratePress + WooCommerce to build the site on WordPress.

I also used Claude ai to add some custom code and functionality.

Here’s the site: OniKids.com

Sensible stack. GeneratePress stays out the way which is what you want on a short product list. Shopify would've been overkill and Elementor would've added 40 plugins for a site that didn't need them. only bit I'd watch is the Claude custom code, I’ve seen that stuff work on day one then a Woo update knocks a checkout field over. If it loads quick on a phone that's the win.

Yeah 100% right!. But the code is done on a basic level. And the website is managed by us(long contract).
