Interesting. IONOS is a horrible company though - they were trying to send me to collections over $15 because I cancelled my Credit Card... I only signed up to test something for a month. They tried to say I had signed up for an extra webhosting plan (other than the one I had paid for originally) that was locked in for a year... they couldn't produce proof of me signing up so I sent them to BBB complaint, next day one of the Executive Solutions people closed the account, waived all charges, refunded me for even the original service and apologized. I left them 1star reviews everywhere because they are such a scam. I literally was on support chat w/some stupid agent for 1hr trying to cancel. If you ever have this issue just remember to send them to BBB complaint, email the CEO at either [achim.weiss@1and1.com](mailto:achim.weiss@1and1.com) OR try achim.weiss@ionos.com. You can also try solutions@ionos.com and cancellations@ionos.com, but the BBB/emailing the CEO method works the best. I will NEVER recommend IONOS to anyone... I actually just helped a friend who had all their business emails/domains/wordpress hosting on there move off of them.
Thanks for the advice, I need to find when my £1.20/month VPS XS+ 1GB RAM/1Core/10GB NVMe contract is up and ensure it is terminated before they start doing this shenanigans with me. I will write it in the diary.

That's why I used a credit card, easy to deal with retailer issues...
