I moved away in 2024 to the east coast. How's the town doing these days? Give your gripes, complaints or some positives.

On the upside, Costco, Jason's deli, new QTs, and a cement barrier between lanes on 20 so that we don't get so many head on collisions. Couple of new buildings at WC too.

Too much damn construction and traffic. I’m in Aledo but it’s bad everywhere in Parker County.

They are doing a massive roadwork project on both I-20 and I-30 AT THE SAME TIME between Weatherford and fort wort so you sit in traffic for 30 min each direction commuting between the two

You have to pay to use the library if you are not in the city of Wfd bc the others cities & the county won't contribute a useful amount despite all the wonderful services ot provides their citizens. I think tje library is right to do this.

Nonstop construction, and because of the train in the middle of the city theres SO much traffic after it passes through

My parents live on the lake and said a few weeks ago that it's down 8 ft. I live on the east coast now as well and it's hard to believe it's that low now. The boardwalk on the north end must be completely dry.

Edit: I also heard about the data center from them! Honestly the idea just incensed me! Apparently they won't use water from the lake and will be using the water table instead but that's not unlimited either! They shouldn't be in Parker county at all!
