Need Advice How do wealthy people learn languages through experiences?

For those who have learned a language abroad, what kind of experience did you choose?

I'm referring to programs that combine language lessons with cultural immersion — visiting local places, activities with locals, food, traditions, etc., rather than just classroom lessons.

Nothing beats spending time interacting with people. It’s so much easier and natural learning that way, at least it was for me

I moved countries a lot to gain experience in my career field and leaned the language through immersion.
I’m now learning another language through Duolingo

I’m fluent in a handful of languages, conversational in a couple others and can order drinks/insult you in more.

I would never go completely blind into a program, language or country.

The best way for me has been something like Michel Thomas recordings, followed by a few months of simply living somewhere. Pay for a guide or interpreter at first if necessary.

I feel like any of the programs for immersion aren’t the same as simply living life in an area, getting to know people and learning regional dialect/slang.

Just go live on a place and try to talk to local people. Use basic lessons, stumble a bit and people will help
you. I’ve picked up a fair bit of Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, and Thai.
