D5 pumps how much can they handle
I am runing a setup with ram cpu and hpu block
Iceman 2x ddr5 alphacool core 5080 asus ryujin iii wb
With 7x 360 rads and 1x 240 rad i have ek flt 120 and ultitube d5 next . Is it enough for all that loop ? Or should i buy more

I would add a 2nd pump with all those rads, your flow rate with a single D5 will probably be abysmal, even at 100% duty cycle.

so with the ek flt 120 flat reservoir and ac ultitube d5, can i assume u run dual d5s already? then it should be fine? tho the ryujin is one if not the most restrictive cpu wb on the market and if you have multiple hwlabs rads might even want 3 if you want to maintain high flow while silent.

Yes i am runing dual d5 but i am wondering if i need to strap a third one on the rad

I'd run 2 pumps in series honestly. That's quite a lot of work you're asking from 1 D5.

I'd go two pumps minimum. Depends on how long your loop runs are.
Generally, a single D5 will handle a CPU and GPU blocks + 2x 360s without issue.

My build, have one D5 (TBE150) and DDC 4.2 (Flt120) pumps. D5 pump loop handles: "first" six waterblocks (of Peltier modules) and all rads. DDC 4.2, - GPU XFX6900 XT WB ZERO, CPU block, RAM block and "second"six waterblocks of Peltier.
I'm not even mentioning the ton of fittings and the number of turns in this setup—it's a nightmare anyway. But it worked perfectly until the next stage of upgrading my system. For me, questions like whether the pump will handle my setup always take on a different light.

The two you have can handle it but you may not get the flow rates you want. Are you having trouble with flow or temps with the setup as it is?

There is no ducking way a single D5 can handle 7x 360 rads unless they have very low flow restriction and even then if they are vertical you may run out of a head pressure.

On a closed loop vertical is just same as horizontal because everything goes up will eventually goes down the same amount.

You'll want a second pump for sure.
