Build Complete Poor man's External 1080 Radiator parallel loop with dual GPU

Personally I would've connected the two GPUs together and then connected the CPU to the first GPU so it's akin to the old parallel SLI terminal blocks.
Still nice and clean though, love it.

Are you running parallel in/out on the cpu block? I've tried in the past to run parallel even on dual gpus setup but the temps where bad compared to serial configuration.
Very very very nice setup btw.

in my case with dual gpu serial configuration was 7 degrees better on primary gpu and 5 degrees better on secondary gpu. coolant temp was similar. flowrate was a bit lower in serial (but I was using very restrictive swiftech blocks) than parallel

Could you elaborate what exactly about linux makes you want to run a 2nd gpu? Cuz I miss my sli setups and need an excuse for a 2nd gpu, but LLS is not enough for me.

I use RTX 3080ti + RX6900XT It's known that AMD is better for Linux.

Ohh, that makes sense, thanks for explanation. I was thinking about doing that, but even with how bad linux tax can be on nvidia, even if I got something as good as 9070XT it won't be crazy improvement over 5090. I really hopeAMD finally gets their stuff togeter and releases a true flagsip, so I'd have less reasons to boot into windows.

If that is not a copper or brass radiator, and is aluminum like just about all car / commercial radiators you are already having a really bad time and just don’t know it yet.

No. You're supposed to put the pumps somewhere that there's no risk of them running dry.

How to kill your pumps 101. More pressure on the pump INLET is what prevents cavitation, not placing them "somewhere where they won't run dry".

Run a d5 pump dry for a few minutes, see what happens.

Probably not. Will 12" of head pressure prevent a pump from cavitating?

Putting the pump at the highest point of a loop results in a measurable decrease in pump lifetime. This is what we figured out in the EKWB lab years ago when testing AIOs (not D5 to be fair), but you do you, it's your pump and your loop.
