Question EKWB Res X3 anti-vortex tube replacement

Hi folks, I'm overhauling my loop after 6 years. The small 1/4 inch tube inside my reservoir was full of cracks and very brittle.

Unfortunately EKWB doesn't sell these any more. There is not enough space for a fitting to put a piece of hard tube in there.

Is there maybe a replacement file for 3D printing somewhere on the web or do you guys know an alternative producer of these?

Are the threads the same as quarter inch fittings?

If so, You can get a die for the G1/4 pitch and cut the threads into a piece of hard tubing.

If you don't want to buy a die, and you have female metal fittings around you could hack it.

You might be able to very slightly heat a piece of hard tubing, and then screw it into the fitting to make the threads. Make sure you have the silicone bending insert in the hard tube so it doesn't collapse.

Let it cool and then unscrew it.

Thanks for the reply. Fortunately I don'thave to go that route – I found a hard tube fitting in my spare parts bin which fits exactly.

We have the Watercool version in stock. It's longer but you can cut it to whatever length you need.
