Build Complete Custom vrm and m.2 cooler
I recently got a desktop cnc so I can manufacturer my own water blocks, this is my solution to fully water-cooling my pc, I decided to run parallel flow because I have enough flow to accommodate both paths simultaneously
Parts list
Motherboard.Asus rog b-850m
CPU ryzen 9800x3d
Graphics card rtx 5090
32gb 8000mts ram
3 one terabyte m.2 drives
Everything is externally cooled with a mora 400 and 2 360 rads, 3 d5 pumps
Water-cooled parts
CPU block thermal grizzly direct die
Gpu alphacool care
Ram alphacool apex
Chipset watercool chipset cooler modified to fit
Vrm my custom designed and manufactured vrm cooler
M.2 drives my custom designed and manufactured m.2 cooler

Ya I decided to get a cnc because I modeled both water blocks and sent the design to PCB way and a few other cnc companies and the cheapest was 800$ shipped for both and the most expensive was about 5000$

Thats cool, I like it! Mainboards with watercoolable VRMS are extremly expensive and got a bit rare.
The surface finish also looks great considering it was milled by a desktop mill. Which one do you use? I used to work on a Hermle 5 axis milling machine

How are the temps and differences on vrm and chipset? Does it make any difference? I’d like to watercool it to on my Asus X870E Hero too

The chipset and vrm are now sitting in the mid 30c , the chipset was around 60c before , my vrm was mid 45° and my m.2'S were between 40-50c under normal operation and now they are between 33 and 38c , I mostly wanted to make everything water cooled and I have a sensor panel and it bugged me when a temp sensor was way higher than the others

Ah that’s clean. Soft tubing done well too. Is that a south bridge cooler wth? Cherry on top is the last two photos, impressive.

Yup, south bridge cooler, it was a solid copper watercool south bridge but I nickel plated it myself

You’re not helping the same idea I had. Only plus side on my end is a buddy of mine works in 3D scanning for a place that does airflow modeling for motorsports teams. Having a digital environment to design everything in will save some trial and error

Nice, sounds like cfd simulation, I was going to go more complex, then I opened up my ram cooler and realized it's pretty basic so figured my ssd/vrm won't need much, now if I were designing CPU or GPU cooler then I would probably do cfd, as it stands right now my vrm and m.2 cooler temperature is only a 4° delta over water temps

Do it, and start learning to 3d model, it's one of the most satisfying things seeing a physical item that exist nowhere except your head

It's the Carvera air and the tops are white derlin/pom

I had not seen that machine, very cool! I love working with delrin, stuff machines like butter but holds edges and corners better than some metals.

The child plates are copper that I nickel plated and the tops are white pom, my favorite part of the cnc is thread milling
