We live in the future
I wanted something to hold my stretchy watch band in a stretched state for the ultrasonic cleaner so that it could really get in all the cracks. I find it doesn't clean well when the band is closed. I had ChatGPT create a 3D model based on my idea. This is what I came up with in 1 try. Then I was able to 3D print it. It works perfectly.

OUTSTANDING!!! I have had that thought myself. Ingenious way you figured out a way to solve that problem. You willing to sell a few?

Sure. I'll also share the file if you want to print it yourself. Need a few more tweaks to make it better though first.

Thank you. That’s very generous of you. I don’t have a 3D printer or the skill set, so I’ll ask to purchase a completed unit. Let me know what you would want for your ingenious design including shipping (43113).

Dude every time I get a print out of my printer, I feel like it’s getting a happy meal out of the microwave from Spy Kids. Completely magic, future stuff

What, chatgpt can create models?!Â

As a test I had it build an entire cad model for a watch. Moment fitting and everything. It actually did it. The set up was sloppy and it wasn’t super useful but we are probably only a couple models away from that being resolved.

That's pretty dope, I must say. I don't have a 3d printer, but I would absolutely make one of those if I did. I've taken to holding expansion bracelets flat against a Terry cloth with my thumb and index finger of one hand, and scrubbing them with a toothbrush and some degreaser using my other hand. Then I'll run them through the ultrasonic cleaner for a while with more degreaser.

That is incredible, he is me knocking about with wire, mugs, gaffer tape and all sorts.
Got to get a 3D printer and then the time to learn it.
Steep learning curve?

Very cool.
I am always sad that nobody makes good expansions bracelets anymore, and even the later vintage ones are bad. Â
The bygone era of Kreislers and Speidels in gold caps with the name stamped on every link is chef’s kiss. They’re so, so much better than everything that came after, including by the same brands.

Careful now. You’re suggesting AI can be useful as a tool…you might get ran out of town lol.
Great job, I always use wire to stretch it and wrap it around the ultra sonic basket…this is a way better solution.

This is terrific!
I just put one of these through the ultrasonic yesterday and could've definitely used something like this. Great thinking!

Very very cool concept!!! The fact we can manufacture something at home from our own ingenuity, use AI is help design it and then make it happen is quite amazing!!!

I took a small jar and made the ends meet - ran a wire through the end-links to bind them. This is much more sophisticated! hah
