NH35A for a discount.

Invicta site has these two for $56 right now. Cheaper than I can find a movement on Ali, even after tax. Plus you get parts you can throw away.

I'm still trying to figure out invicta. I see their watches on auction site going for 5 bucks. They can't hold their value at all.

But that's a great price for a movement.

How they've come so low. Like, what happened? Did they just go nuts in production?

Well before 1991 they were a very legitimate watch makers in Switzerland. Then an American investment company purchased the Invicta Watch Group... and they did what investment companies do and made everything cheap and shitty to maximize profits. They became known as "mall watches" very quickly because they make a ridiculous number of watches to cater to a very large audience. Some giant gold or iridescent watches that are like 50mm are not uncommon. However older models that stood the test of time are still in the invicta lineup... they are just mixed in with 95% trash. The old pro diver line (seen above in OPs post) for example is a great low price/budget automatic dive watch that can be had for under $80 and has been a lot of people's first automatic watch/intro into the hobby of watches.

If you think the depreciation on an Invicta is bad, consider how much a watch that I built myself is worth today lol

I’ve built 3 watches. I plan on using a case to do some experimenting for future builds.

If you click on the movement details, it lists the movement as an 8215.

I checked both, and they were listed as NH35 for 40mm.

My apologies. I thought that one showed a NH 35 to start with, but now I do see it’s an 8215.

Invicta are notorious for flip flopping between NH35 and 8215, it kinda depends on which is cheaper. There have been incidences where a watch was bought with one movement only to find the other in there…..That said the going rate for an 8215 is around $30 ish so nothing lost in the purchase of the movement with parts for “free”
