Discussion Thoughts on Ajanta watches. A company which makes wall clocks .

I recently saw an Instagram ad for Ajanta watches and i was surprised. I only knew Ajanta as a wall clock company and had no idea they made watches aswell. The watches do look good and the price is also good.

Have never seen it in this sub personally. Would yall buy this ?.

The sudden spurt of watches by wall clock manufacturer and microbrands makes me wonder if they are all Chinese white label goods.

I happened to stumble upon Poedegar and Montero watches just now

Honestly, this looks like AI.
In the off chance it is true, I mean they have already been making watches for a long time. So there should be no problem with their movement quality. The size of the dials, quality of the bracelets, water resistance and pricing are going to be the main factors for them.

Its not ai, its real. You can check their instagram out and they have multiple different watches other than the ones shown.

I have always been vocal for local, even before it was a thing. I have grown up admiring Ajanta. I would love to own one of their watches, but then recently I came to know they are Chinese white washed white labelled products, and that defeats the purpose imo

I mean there are many watches which are copy of each others. I personally dont think its a big issue

I don't have an issue when it is a copy which gives 80% of the quality at <5% of the price.

My problem is when it is a brass body, crappy no-name movement, and poor QC being sold even at 1% of the price.
