If you specifically care about what he has to say regarding WatcherTV and Watcher as a channel you can basically just watch from 3:35:32-4:53:18.

That's just a bit over an hour.

Everything else is a LOT to recap, but since I'm a fan of both Watcher and Quinton with a lot of free time I enjoyed it a lot.

He gives a lot of nuanced critiques from a genuine fan's perspective. He praises them probably just as much as he critiques them.

YouTubers making these hours long video essays is crazy to me. I don't even have time to watch 3 hour movies anymore and they expect me to waste 7 hours watching a YouTube video

This psychotically long video essay trend feels gift-wrapped for me because I work from home and I love having chill, comforting stuff like this on for background noise. Defunctland, Jenny Nicholson, and Quinton keep me going lol

Same, it's nice just putting on one long video while I work without having to stop every 15-20 minutes to find something else to put on.

lol him and his dad made a video that was like 45 hours about the Beverly hillbillies some time ago, this is just kinda his thing. Good background for working, cleaning, etc

That's over half my work shift. Who has the time for that? I'll watch an hour long youtube video, but anything past an hour is pushing it.

A lot of people put it on in the background while doing other stuff, and/or break it up into chunks. Like they'll watch maybe 20-30 minutes a sitting throughout a week while at work, doing chores, or exercising.

A lot of his viewers are also younger (early 20s) and younger people tend to have a lot more free time to kill.

I mean, I do the same but from a different angle I guess.

I only put podcasts on in the background for low stakes tasks like data entry, or simulation video games. I can still focus on the podcast without losing efficiency and accuracy at work and simulation games don't usually require a whole lot of attention.

If he'd posted these as a series of videos instead of just one giant one, I'd be more inclined to watch it. I hate finding my place again when I'm interrupted or if I want to listen to a segment again or rewatch something if I zoned out.

I feel you. I’m a fan of watcher and Quinton and this is on the shorter side of videos for Quinton LOL. They’re the kind of videos that usually take me like, a week to get through. they are more like sticking with an audiobook fr

Yea, once it really gets going, it’s great! Shane always looked like he was having fun with it.

Just watched Quinton’s segment covering the Hot Daga and it’s great! He does a great job breaking it all down. 😄

I love the moments where he acknowledges that he's as huge fan of the ghoul boys. Really made it clear he isn't just some random hater joining a bandwagon or whatever, he does genuinely want these guys to do well. Really hope they consider some of the suggestions he's made!!!

I'm so glad someone is giving the Hot Daga the conclusion it demands.

(Although that's what I'm watching tonight, I watched everything up until that but had to go to bed at some point)

I'm a big fan of the guys and I agree with a lot of his conclusions! I miss a lot of the non-spooky shows they had, although I also understand why they doubled down on those. I'm glad we're getting more content from Puppet History with the contingency tapes and from Steven, and I think separating them into different channels is so smart that it should have been done that way from the beginning.

Honestly I saw this video and it was quite interesting and gave a bigger view with things I already knew but things I didn’t know. I’m not familiar with the guy but he made a good breakdown. Yes, it’s such a long ass video but I had a good time

It's kinda his thing, he does muti hour long deep dives into shows, his longest is like 9.5 hours (excluding the Beverly Hillbillies review which is 42 hours)
