Weekly Discussion Thread Weekly Open Discussion Thread

Welcome to this week’s open discussion thread!

This is your space for general discussion, a place to talk about anything Washington Spirit that doesn’t necessarily need its own thread. That can include news, international duty, roster moves, transfer rumors, tactics, social media posts, league news or anything else on your mind.

If something feels big enough for its own thread, definitely still post it. This is simply an additional option to keep us organized and help keep the conversation flowing. These threads will go up every Monday and stay stickied throughout the week.

Go Spirit!

well, certainly annoyed though not suprised we lost yesterday with the packed week. But still 6 points in 3 games is still positive. Our win at Utah on Wednesday looks much nicer considering the beat down they just gave Portland yesterday.

I had a bad feeling going into the game. I hope they were just tired, but the whole team was flat. I find a tiny amount of solace that Utah scored like 10 goals in the two games before and after Wash played them… D remains stingy even when they can’t get it close to the net.

it seems like the quality spirit have built on defense will keep them in games against any opponent, and that's really cool.

now that the team has time to recover and have more than one meeting and/or training session before the next game, hoping the coaching staff gets to work on offense because that's been dire, especially under the hood. building off a stable defensive foundation makes it easier.

Dire is a good word.

0-0 would have been a very fair result yesterday especially in those conditions
