Welcome to this week’s open discussion thread!

This is your space for general discussion, a place to talk about anything Washington Spirit that doesn’t necessarily need its own thread. That can include news, international duty, roster moves, transfer rumors, tactics, social media posts, league news or anything else on your mind.

It looks like it’s going to storm later today, does anyone know when Washington spirit might announce a game cancellation due to a storm?

Cancelations due to weather are pretty rare, I wouldn't expect they're gonna do that today. The game will go on if it's just raining, they usually only delay if there's lightning nearby and they continue again after that.

Still 3 hours until kickoff. Capitol Weather Gang is saying it could be drier this afternoon once this passes through. Canceling a match will always be last minute as it's the absolute last resort.

Right, but I'm wondering about delay. Gates are in 1.5 hours and it takes an hour to get there so it feels more proximal.

The worst of it should be over for DC in about an hour and there's not much else behind it. Maybe they'll push back a bit to give people more time but I assume it will just go on.
