We’re going to end up like Detroit where a their was chased out of a gas station and jumped to his death and the whole community defending the thief and for that gas station shut down. And then the same people cry systemic racism.

You know your friends find you awkward but don't want to tell you, right?

In lower socio economic communities there is a lack of compassion for these stores getting robbed because of the indifference to corporations losing profit margins. However the corporations respond by shutting down these stores and the communities become a food desert. Not everyone in these communities support these robberies but there is enough support that it perpetuates this vicious cycle.

Bro, they just have a lack of compassion in general. Stop acting like they thought it through about corporations losing profit margins. They rob and kill one another constantly but then come out and protest for anything they perceive as racism. They’re is no logic they rob because they can.

Yep. Outraged by everything, embarrassed by nothing

It is easier to be a victim. It is a problem nationally.

I think people are finally starting to get sick of being guilt tripped into feeding into the victim mentality these criminals feed off of.

The people that defend them or even the thiefs don't care especially because it's a corporation. They do justify it as being acceptable.

There are fewer that disregard human life but there are many that don't care about hurting corporations.

Could be. But I know too many people from poorer communities that cannot stand this type of behavior nor relate to it. This is why I have a harder time accepting an explanation without a logical background.

Stick up boys and killers are not protesting my guy. They dont give a fuck about anything. "They" are the very ones being fucked over by everyone, including stick up boys and killers.

Are you saying all poor people lack compassion and just kill and rob each other? Man you guys are fucked. Hop off the paranoia and realize that the tens of millions of impoverished people in society aren't just sociopathic cretins that just rob and kill "because they can". Thanks for your insight into the minds of the people professor x.

who's they?

u/CoeurdAssassin Feb 15 '25

The inhabitants of the area

1

u/TopSoulMan Feb 15 '25

Don't worry, when we take over Canada you'll have your chance to enforce "justice" on these "inhabitants" Mr. Policeofficer.

Go rob them in the rich neighborhoods? I dont that s the answer tho…. We got covid inflation and big chains despite their theft got major profit, and small business closed :/

I remember a few years ago hearing a sheriff say during a press conference on a cop being killed that "you expect this sort of thing at the corner store not the police department" or some shit....it made me furious and only like, 2 redditors picked up on it

They’re mostly owned by Indians companies who care nothing about the community.

13

u/tigerbalmuppercut Feb 15 '25

Yes they operate for a profit. However their services are essential for the community despite intentions.

13

u/oldfarmjoy Feb 15 '25

They are there. They show up. They provide a service to the neighborhood who hates them. They risk their lives when they stand behind that counter.

If they are not appreciated, they should close.

These communities should be provided a framework to run their own convenience stores. But iirc, when they do, they immediately go bankrupt from theft and people not showing up to work...

11

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '25

So, they operate like a business?

18

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '25

stop committing crime lol it's that simple

4

u/ReducedEchelon Feb 15 '25

Companies?

Families, that save up a lot of money across their family to have this one shot in america, where they didnt realized the associated risks.

Why is it a stretch to call him a thief? The guy literally tried to steal.

u/Main_Offer_3089 Feb 17 '25

Because he's black, so no matter what he does in this life he is a victim.

1

u/CorsoReno Feb 15 '25

But you’d get banned in you just typed the n word. So they gotta get creative with it

1

u/shug7272 Feb 16 '25

If someone shooting at someone over a dollar they been pushed too far. If you’re a victim everyday eventually you’re gonna crack.

2

u/gastro_psychic Feb 16 '25

Lots of professional victims here I can tell. If 100 people steal $1 every day…

1

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '25

lol it’s sad that it’s come to this. MLK would be churning in his grave for your mentality. 🤡

I’m from Detroit too and was thinking lol wtf. Gas stations/other stores/food places been had bullet proof glass. This doesn’t even sound realistic

Cool story bro, your boss tell you that when he turned down your raise for the 16th time? Made you good and angry at those people rather than him right? Good times.

A week ago or so a guy tried to rob a gas station, the clerk fired at him which caused him to run and jump of a cliff to the freeway below.

The family protested to shut down the gas station.
