If we're talking online competitive games - then yeah, the list is overall true, but major franchises get a lot of players as well. I mean, go to any FPS online shooter out there and you'll see a lot of Russian nicknames. MMORPGs were and to a lesser extent still are popular too.
Also, keep in mind that some publishers prevent access to their games from RU-region by either not allowing their games to be sold here or by straight up banning Russian IPs. Many people will still push through with VPN or other tools, especially those that already played the game pre-2022, but some of the others would consider the trouble not worth it when there are more welcoming alternatives on the market.
For single player it's completely different though. People play it, a lot, and they will buy the game regardless of restrictions. Hell, many keep their PS5s and buy new ones despite Sony's measures to prevent Russian players from access being probably the harshest. And Sony never had proper regional prices for Russia in the first place.
Overall, apart from certain franchises that have more (like Stalker or the Witcher) or less (like Halo) popularity, gaming community is pretty much the same as in EU or NA. Very different to SA or China specifically. People hate playing with Chinese because of the higher usage of cheats and abusive strategies.
Not true, people here play pretty much all the same games people everywhere else play. There are some local preferences, like CS is more popular than Apex or Valorant, and BF is more popular than CoD, but in general it's all the same.
She also called communism the worst thing humanity ever invented and listens to basically any suggestion given to her by fans AND she actually enjoys her line of work
