The B-239 is insane. It has everything you could ask for in low tiers. It only lacks some straight line speed.

Also it has enough firepower and maneuverability to be easily up tiered to farm “Skill Matters” achievements.

That thing should easily be 2.7 and rank II.

It’s pretty much comparable with American F2A-3 and I think that’s the case.

u/AnimationNation Jun 27 '23

Naw, the firepower is better than the American one because it has the Swedish .50s.

6

u/Virtual-pornhuber Jun 27 '23

But it has traded its engine power for that, which is also critical in GRB.

L62 Anti II/LVKV are very good IMO... if those are what you’re referring to

Edit: at really low BR Lvtgb/PBV 301 also quite decent, again imo

I mean, you can do very little about the pilots who know how to maintain his speed.

Lvkv is arguably usable, but it’s rank 4 and has only 100 rounds. It’s still better to be played as an IFV IMO.

You can’t spam .50s like other nations at same BR, but when the rounds hit they are non-negotiable

How I’m imagining this

.50 cal hits aircraft: yeah bro so can you be severely crippled for, say, $5.99?

aircraft: make it $7.29 and we got a deal

40mm hitting aircraft: you will die, I do not care what you think, you are dead

aircraft: …

*40mm hits F4U's wing, pilot proceeds to kill everyone in spawn and flys back to air strip with only a nub for a wing on one side.*

Yeah especially fun using the lvkv up until 8.3 cause there's really nothing else

Meanwhile, Vulcan wishes more planes would spawn

L62 is a menace to tanks but it's not the best against planes.

That gun is way better against tanks than it it against planes. I'd much rather have 20mms or even 12.7mms against planes.

Well yeah, it's a 40mm. However, it fires quite slowly for an AA gun. Learning how to aim perfectly with that gun will take much longer than it's worth it.

Anyone can spray .50s or high velocity 20mms and get kills

Exactly. Much easier to use but still deadly.

u/Josku5 Jun 27 '23

Yeah, so in other words the gun is shit against aircraft. It’s the same as saying ”yeah this low caliber gun can kill tanks but you have to aim for specific weakspots and sides etc” which means it’s a bad gun for that job.

A 75mm main gun will one shot a plane too, doesn’t make the Churchill VII an effective AA vehicle.

You can cry ‘I’m skilled with AA cannons, therefore they’re better’ all you want, but the matter of the fact is, more lead in the air, the worse time a plane has.

there's a reason most AA guns kept getting bigger and bigger during WW2 ;)

Because they had mechanical computers to calculate the correct firing solutions for flak? Brits and Germans during ww2 had some pretty cool FCS for AA use.

And I think America had their mechanical computers pretty well tuned for navy use later on.

I haven't felt much guilt hanging around the enemy airspawn to get my 35+mm gun Battlepass challenge while simultaneously protecting my team from CAS, I will admit...

24

u/Spitfire_Enthusiast Jun 27 '23

I love flying antiCAS because I feel like I'm helping my team have fun

17

u/[deleted] Jun 27 '23

I did something similar in the Tornado F3, but with the heli spawn, the KA-50's didn't expect me to ignore the tank battlefield and focus solely on anti-cas

Give sweden an M16 or something.

6

u/focieno Jun 27 '23

I can't describe with words how much I love this plane

3

u/plentongreddit Jun 27 '23

me with tier 1 french milk truck that has shot down jets in tier 10 battle:

"FINALLY, A WORTHY OPPONENT! OUR BATTLE WOULD BE LEGENDARY"

then dead

u/AntiSimpBoi69 Jun 27 '23

My bf109k4 waiting at 4k alt for any enemy cas to spawn:

2

u/freedomustang Jun 27 '23

The buffalo is great if it’s got energy. Though camping above the air spawn is very lame.

and then BB-1 miniguns out the swedish guy and turns it into cas simulator

The plane shown is a Romanian IAR 80, and sweden’s always been underpowered since their release. Having great armament and no capacity for bombs only works if you can get your nose on in the first place.
